Rhett Chase Named All-American by NSCA

April 9, 2008

USAF Academy, Colo. - Air Force senior defender Rhett Chase was recently honored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) with its annual All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award. The award recognizes student-athletes' dedication to strength training and conditioning.

Chase, from Coronado, Calif., was one of 239 collegiate athletes from 165 schools honored with the award this year. She was a team co-captain of the Falcons this past year, and started 48 of 59 career games played.

Air Force strength coach Jeffrey Kipp, who nominated Chase for the award, had this to say about the senior: "Rhett has consistently been a top performer in the area of strength & conditioning. She leads by example in the weight room and on the field."

The NSCA All-American Athlete of the Year Award program is in its 29th year and is made possible by a grant from Power Systems, Inc., a Knoxville, Tenn., fitness product leader.
