Air Force Hands Out End-Of-Season Team Awards

The Air Force women's gymnastics coaching staff handed out its 2008 program awards at the annual end-of-season banquet this past weekend. Junior Abigail Rogers, the co-Gymnast of the Year by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, was selected as the team MVP, while four other gymnasts received recognition from head coach Doug Day.

Three Falcons Earn USAG All-America Accolades

The Air Force women's gymnastics team had three of its members earn USAG All-America honors at the conclusion of the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in Shreveport, La. Michelle Denise and Kayla Kincade were selected to the USAG All-America first-team, while Brittany Dutton picked up a pair of honors on the second-team.

Air Force Concludes Season at USAG Championships

The Air Force women's gymnastics team concluded the 2008 season this afternoon (April 19) with the individual event finals at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships. Sophomores Michelle Denise (uneven bars) and Kayla Kincade (balance beam) represented the Falcons during the final competition of the three-day meet.

Falcons Finish Fourth in USAG Qualifying Round

The Air Force women's gymnastics team wrapped up team competition this afternoon (April 17) at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in Shreveport, La. The Falcons scored a total of 188.600 to finish fourth in the first qualifying session, while two members of the team qualified for the individual event finals. [+]

Doug Day Named North Central Region Coach of the Year

Air Force women's gymnastics coach Doug Day was named the North Central Regional Head Coach of the Year following the NCAA regional meet this past weekend. It is the first such honor for Day and the first women's coaching award since 2001. Day guided Academy gymnasts to a regional championship meet for the first time since 2005. [+]

Four representatives of the Air Force women's gymnastics team concluded competition at the NCAA North Central Regional on Saturday, April 12, in Minneapolis, Minn.
