USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force goaltender Andrew Volkening and right winger Derrick Burnett earned AHA Monthly Awards for March. Volkening earned goalie of the month honors while Burnett was named the rookie of the month.

Volkening was named to the all-tournament team at the NCAA Northeast Regional as he stopped 30 of 33 shots vs. top-seeded Miami. He became the first Falcon to ever earn the honor. He was also selected as the goaltender on the all-tournament team at the AHA Final Five in leading Air Force to its second consecutive league title. In the month of March, he posted a 5-1 record with a .941 saves percentage and a 1.51 goals-against average.

Burnett earned AHA Rookie of the Week honors on March 10. In six games in March, he had three goals and three assists. He scored four points in the AHA Quarterfinals with one goal and three assists vs. Bentley.
