Air Force junior Matt Williams clocked a time of 31:25.0 to finish near the top half of the field at the 2007 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Monday, Nov. 19. Air Force junior Matt Williams will head to Terre Haute, Ind., for the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships on Monday, Nov. 20. The 10,000-meter race will be contested at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. Air Force junior Matt Williams earned an automatic bid to the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships, the Division I coaches' committee announced this evening (Nov. 11). Williams will be the first Air Force runner to compete at the national meet since 2004. The national meet will be held on Monday, Nov. 19, in Terre Haute, Ind. [+]

Backed by two All-Region performances, the Air Force cross country team placed sixth at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Riverdale Golf Course. The Air Force cross country team travels to Riverdale, Utah, for the 2007 NCAA Mountain Regional Championships on Saturday, Nov. 10. The meet, which is being hosted by Weber State University, will be run at the Riverdale Golf Course. Action is slated to begin at 11 a.m. (MST) with the men's 10,000-meter race. Four members of the Air Force men's cross country team earned all-conference honors, as the Falcons wrapped up competition at the 2007 Mountain West Conference Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., on Saturday, Oct. 27. Overall, the men placed third - just one point behind runner-up New Mexico - while the women's team finished sixth. [+]
