Academy grad, Capt Seth Kelsey's (class of 2003) participation in the 2004 Olympics has been commemorated on a stamp issued by the Republic of Benin. The stamp which commemorates the upcoming Olympic Games honors the different sports and the fencing stamp pictures Kelsey from the 2004 Olympics. Also pictured on the stamps are several Disney cartoon characters. [+]

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - Air Force Academy fencer Peter French earned NCAA All-American honors on Sunday at the NCAA Fencing Championship in Columbus, Ohio. He finished in sixth-place in men's epee. French, a sophomore from Austin, Texas, was in fifth place following Saturday's rounds 1-4. He finished the tournament with 14 victories. [+]

COLUMBUS, Ohio - At the NCAA Fencing Championships, AFA's Peter French is in fifth place following rounds 1-4 of the men's epee competition. French went 9-5 for the day, while teammate Dan Trapani finished in 15th place with only six victories and seven losses. [+]

The Air Force Academy fencers traveled to Rosemont, Ill., to compete in the North American Cup "E" Division II and III tournament on March 7-10. Only two freshmen, Curtis Christensen and Lantz Balthazar finished in the top 50 in Division III. Christensen from Los Alamos, N.M., was the Falcons' top performer. Christensen finished 21st among the 147 men's individual foil competitors. AFA's other highest finisher, Balthazar, from Niceville, Fla., finished 44th in men's individual epee. [+]

Two Air Force Academy fencers qualified for the 2008 NCAA Men's and Women's Fencing Championships. AFA sophomore Peter French and freshman Daniel Trapani both qualified for the NCAAs Sunday afternoon at the Western Regional Fencing Championships at Cal State Fullerton, March 2. The two Falcons qualified in the men's individual epee tournament, finishing first and second, respectively. Both earned all-region honors. [+]

Lincoln, Neb. -- The rifle team failed to qualify anyone at the NCAA Qualifier at the University of Nebraska, shooting against Nebraska's "Scarlett" and "Cream" teams. "There's no question that this has been a transition year for our team," said first-year head coach Launi Meili. "I am very pleased with the progress this team has shown throughout the season. With eleven freshmen comprising the majority of the team, we have made great strides towards being very competitive in the years to come." [+]
